How do you organize a truly unforgettable surprise for a 40th birthday? That was the challenge entrusted to us by a client who wanted to celebrate this milestone surrounded by 40 guests coming from all over Italy.
A Long Weekend by Catamaran in the Heart of the Golden Islands
The answer came naturally: a long weekend sailing on a catamaran along the French Riviera, in the heart of the Golden Islands archipelago, between Porquerolles and Port-Cros.
For this exceptional project, we partnered with Bali Catamarans Charter to charter Bali Catamarans — a leading reference in premium catamaran cruising.
A Fleet of Premium Bali Catamarans Designed for Comfort and Performance
Four brand-new, fully equipped Bali catamarans departed from Port Pin Rolland, near Toulon:

- Bali 4.2 – The perfect balance between sailing performance, comfort and easy handling.
- Bali Catspace – Harmonious volumes, bright saloon and optimal natural ventilation.

All yachts were equipped with generators, watermakers, air conditioning and premium amenities, ensuring complete autonomy and optimal comfort at sea.
Exceptional Sailing Sensations
From the moment they left Toulon harbor, the skippers praised the outstanding seaworthiness of the Bali catamarans.
“The well-positioned helm and aft sail plan make these catamarans surprisingly maneuverable, even in light winds,” explains Francesco, skipper of the Bali 4.4.
Despite a moderate breeze of 8 to 12 knots, the fleet enjoyed smooth, stable sailing with steady speeds under sail. The rigid foredeck quickly became a true lounge area, perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery.
Friendly Regatta and Sailing Performance
During the Bali Cup, a friendly regatta around Porquerolles, each model showcased its unique sailing character:
- Bali Catsmart: the most lively and playful, extremely responsive at the helm.
- Bali Catspace: an excellent compromise between comfort and sailing performance.
- Bali 4.4: powerful acceleration, great stability, ideal for group cruising.
- Bali 4.2: winner of the regatta, thanks to its perfectly balanced sail plan and impressive performance.
In steady winds of 12 to 15 knots, flat seas and excellent visibility, the catamarans fully demonstrated their efficiency, safety and pure sailing pleasure.
Exceptional Anchorages: Porquerolles and Port-Cros
Stops in Porquerolles and the Port-Cros National Park offered a dreamlike setting: crystal-clear waters, wild beaches, snorkeling, coastal sailing and sheltered anchorages.
Evenings on board highlighted Bali’s Open Space concept, thanks to the famous tilting door that seamlessly transforms the saloon and cockpit into one vast open living area overlooking the sea.
